ITIL V3 Service and Lifecycle Capability Streams
In the ITIL V3 Intermediate level, there are two routes to achieving a new ITIL Expert in IT Service Management qualification, which has replaced ITIL V2's Practitioner and Managers Certificate examinations:
ITIL V3 Service Lifecycle Stream
Similar to the ITIL V2 Management Certificate, but focuses on the 5 ITIL V3 books, the ITIL Service Lifecycle, which replaced the previous Service Support and Service Delivery books:
- Service Strategy (SS)
- Service Design (SD)
- Service Transition (ST)
- Service Operations (SO)
- Continual Service Improvement (CSI)
ITIL V3 Service Capability Stream
Similar to the ITIL V2 Practitioner courses, focussing on the processes and comprises of four role-specific, 5-day modules and certificates:
- Planning, Protection & Optimisation
- Service Offerings & Agreement
- Release, Control & Validation
- Operational Support & Analysis
